Donald Trump wasn't the first populist president ever elected, but he has pushed the country into uncharted territory for the modern and even semi-modern era. Between Trump's brand of politics and his controversial way of living, the former president is arguably one of the most polarizing figures the United States has experienced in its relatively brief existence.
Now, with Trump getting pulled into the courtroom over a sexual abuse case, he becomes the first president to ever be indicted for a crime in American history. Speaking on Trump's trial, former running back and courtroom veteran O.J. Simpson revealed his thoughts on the case in a tweet thrown on Twitter.
He claimed Trump might "be in some trouble." NFL fans responded with thorny jokes and retort that essentially wrote the running back's opinion off.

In the video, Simpson revealed what he believed to be the biggest nail in the coffin:
"I said, 'Well, come on, man. How many people could come out of the woodworks 30 years later and claim some celebrity or some rich guy did something to them? It'd be their word against theirs and wouldn't go [anywhere].' But then when I saw that they were gonna let that Access Hollywood tape in, I said, 'Maybe Donald's gonna be in some trouble.'"

In the video, Simpson also commented on two previous court cases he was involved in. He commented on what he called "a civil court case in California" and claimed that the accusations levied in that one were "wrong" as well as what went down in Las Vegas.
He still disagrees with the verdict reached in Las Vegas, which labeled him guilty of participating in an armed robbery that led to jail time in 2008. He was released on February 9th, 2022, according to ABC News. Since his release, he's kept his nose clean and his head down in the legal sense.
In 2023, he is 75 years old and still has enough money in the bank to coast for the rest of his life with certain caveats. According to Celebrity Net Worth, he has three million dollars in the bank, which isn't as much as many NFL players earn, but it is enough for retirement plans for the majority of the citizens of the United States.
