On Sunday, Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets suffered a 32-26 overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins and were eliminated from playoff contention. With nothing to look forward to on the field, the veteran quarterback is looking for ways to fill his time and has seemingly decided to conduct a bizarre experiment soon.
During his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, the 41-year-old discussed a viral video of a UFO sighting in New Jersey. He said:
“Do you know what’s been going on in New Jersey lately? And I’m not talking about football. There’s been some crazy things going on... I’ve seen the video. Bedminster—that’s home to Trump’s golf course and our owner, Woody Johnson."
Rodgers suggested that it could be a helicopter, but revealed that he was planning on conducting a test to see if the UFO sightings were aliens. He added:

"'Maybe it's some kids messing around…maybe not, though... I'm thinking about having a Friday night 5E experience... It's where you have a big kind of meditation circle and then you call in the aliens and you use little green lasers to bring them in."
Rodgers' revelation left McAfee and his crew perplexed. NFL fans mocked his plan on social media:
"CTE has really taken a toll on this man."
"Yeah that CTE kicking in early."
Some fans have grown weary of Rodgers spouting conspiracy theories and voiced their frustration:
"This dude is so f**king desperate to be relevant that it's depressingly pathetic," wrote @TaylorT39103055
"Wouldn’t pay this nut job 50 cents to play QB," claimed @rsplighting
"Alright it’s not a joke anymore please have him check into a mental institution," wrote @EpicNormie.
Aaron Rodgers detailed a strange UFO sighting
Aaron Rodgers allegedly has firsthand experience of inexplicable UFO sightings. In the season finale of last year's "Hard Knocks," the quarterback shared a bizarre experience from 2005.
He was at a friend's place in New Jersey and hit the bed early as he had a 5 AM start the next day. However, in the middle of the night, he was woken by an alarm blaring in the distance and decided to investigate it.
Rodgers, his friend, and the friend's brother stepped out of the house and saw a large object in the sky fly by, which was being chased by fighter jets. The Jets superstar said:
"And again we just stood there in disbelief for another few minutes. Nobody said a word. And we all kind of looked at each other like, did we just see what we think we just saw? What was that?... We went back to bed but you're still not really sleeping. You just experienced this bizarre experience. We looked in the papers and online the next few days, and there was nothing about it."
The four-time NFL MVP has since been fascinated with UFOs and has done extensive research on the subject.
