Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins did not have a good night against the Packers on Thanksgiving night but fans felt that the officials were aiding the home team with some questionable calls. Roughing-the-passer calls were designed to protect quarterbacks from avoiding injuries when they were defenseless after they had thrown the ball.
If anyone needs that it's the Miami quarterback, who has a history of head injuries and concussions. However, in the fourth quarter, he threw a pass to Odell Beckham Jr. and was hit after the ball had already gone. It looked like a late hit even though the commentators disagreed.
Fans took to X/Twitter to complain about Tua Tagovailoa being treated unfairly by the officials. Here are a few reactions from the social media platform.

People kept complaining about how Tua Tagovailoa was being treated differently and how some other quarterbacks might have got the call. Here are some more responses.
"Refs have called roughing the passer for a lot less than what the defender just did to Tua, we would’ve understood if you stuck with the roughing the passer all here... Just a little bit of clarity/regularity would be nice…" - wrote one.
"That roughing the passer gets called on any other qb besides Tua. What a joke" - said another.
"THAT PLAY WOULD OF BEEN ROUGHING THE PASSER ON MAHOMES OR ALLEN!!!!!!! BUT NOT ON TUA" - screamed a third.
Officials blow defensive PI against Dolphins after controversial Tua Tagovailoa call
It was not just the Dolphins who had a right to feel aggrieved after officials blew a call against them. With just over two minutes left on the clock, Jordan Love threw a deep ball to Christian Watson. It looked like a dime and should have been caught only for the Miami defender to arrive early and interfere.
Inexplicably, the referees did not call it. The wide receiver had missed a deep throw in the last game against the 49ers and this would have been a morale-boosting catch. With the game not in danger of slipping away Matt LaFleur chose not to challenge the calls but it did not need an expert lip reader to identify that he had some choice words for the officials.
Ultimately, though, the officials did not affect the outcome of this game as poor play by the Dolphins at crucial moments led them to a defeat. Tua Tagovailoa could not inspire his colleagues to a victory despite throwing for more than 300 yards.
