NFL fans react to A.J. Brown's latest Instagram activity amid Jalen Hurts controversy - "Drama Queen! Incoming Eagles downfall"

AJ Brown and Jalen Hurts have reportedly been feuding
The Eagles' A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts have some beef

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown has reportedly been at an impasse with his teammates for a while now. Now, his latest social media move has intrigued fans.

Just days after the top wideout called out quarterback Jalen Hurts over his passing during the Philadelphia Eagles' ugly 22-16 win against the Carolina Panthers last Sunday, he changed his Instagram profile image to The Joker from DC Comics:

There was much immediate furor afterward:

"Drama Queen! Incoming Eagles downfall"
"SO HERE FOR IT," another fan exclaimed.

More of it can be seen below:

"AJ Brown about to be cut by the Eagles at this rate...", one predicted.
"Bring on the drama!" another dared.
"One of them has to go in the offseason and it better be Jalen Hurts," another hoped.

Head coach Nick Sirianni has since had his thoughts on A.J. Brown's grievances towards Hurts. Speaking on 94 WIP on Tuesday, he said that he took the "passing" comment differently:

“You can do anything and spin it any way. I took it as, 'We want to get better as a passing attack.' ...Jalen and A.J. are both really outstanding players. I love that our players are wanting to get better and desire to get better, and that’s what we talk about all of the time.”

Eagles OC looking to placate A.J. Brown by increasing his target probability

A major factor behind A.J. Brown's "passing" tirade is the lack of production that he has seen in the last two games. At the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams, he was his usual dominant self, hitting at least 100 yards in each of them.

But since then, he has not cracked even 70. His 43 yards against the Panthers represented his worst haul of the 2024 season since the win against the Jacksonville Jaguars last month, where he had just 36.

And offensive coordinator Kellen Moore plans to mend the problem. Speaking on Tuesday, he said:

“I’m going to focus more on trying to find different ways of increasing the likelihood of the ball going to him.... We’re always going to evaluate how we can get it to him sooner and create those opportunities. It’s really about probability. Not every play is going to one player in particular, but how can we improve there?”

The Eagles are currently second-to-last in passing offense, averaging just 180.6 yards per game. Only the New England Patriots are worse, at 171.5.
