Kadarius Toney is finally gone from the Kansas City Chiefs. On Tuesday, the much-maligned wide receiver was among a handful of players who were absent from the final roster.
Despite winning two Super Bowl titles, he had become a major liability in 2023 after becoming the poster child of their problems with dropped passes.
He also committed an offside penalty that negated a potential game-winning lateral touchdown pass against the Buffalo Bills and was ultimately inactive for their entire postseason run.

And there was much rejoicing at the news:
"That's why their Super Bowl odds just got better," one fan quipped.
"mahomes completion percentage already went up 20%," another fan wrote.
"This dude thought he was a top receiver 😭🤣," a fan wrote.
More of it can be seen below:
"I’m surprised he lasted that long," one said.
"End of an error," another sighed.
"Congratulations on becoming a full time rapper!" another "congratulated".
Kadarius Toney arrived in Kansas City in 2022 via a midseason trade with the New York Giants. He played in 20 games overall for the Chiefs, catching 41 passes for 340 yards with three touchdowns.
Other significant Tuesday cuts besides Kadarius Toney
Besides Kadarius Toney, other significant eliminations might have surprised a good number of fans.
The biggest was safety Johnathan Abram, who had initially been projected as a potential starter beside Tyrann Mathieu at the New Orleans Saints. Instead, sophomore Jordan Howden is expected to assume that spot.
Two quarterbacks also failed to make the roster: 2022 draftees Desmond Ridder (Arizona Cardinals) and Bailey Zappe (New England Patriots). The Patriots also ditched sophomore kicker Chad Ryland, with veteran Joey Slye to take his place.
Speaking of kickers, the Green Bay Packers have also parted ways with another sophomore in Daniel Carlson's younger brother Anders. Another veteran, Greg Joseph, is expected to assume his duties.
There were also three more notable wide receiver cuts besides Toney: Allen Robinson (New York Giants), Noah Brown (Houston Texans), and Tim Patrick. The last of them did not take long before finding a new home, signing with the Detroit Lions just after the cutoff time.
