Jason Kelce took on the role of a late-night host on ESPN and his performance there could not quite match the standards that he set on the field. The former Eagles center played with great distinction in his career, appearing in two Super Bowls and winning one with the franchise. His presence on the field attracted fans but that did not translate to the broadcast arena.

As per John Ourand of Puck, the "They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce" show averaged only 290,000 viewers on its opening night, which is not particularly impressive according to the poster.

Fans agreed with his assessment and said that they did not find Jason Kelce particularly engaging, with some saying there was no particular reason to tune into the show. They took to X/Twitter to air their views and here are some of the comments from the social media platform.

Others pointed to fatigue with the Kelces since the brothers have a podcast, Jason's wife Kylie has her own too, and Travis' popularity has been burnished by his relationship with Taylor Swift. Here are some posts expressing those views.

"We all have the Jason Kelce fatigue" - said one.
"The kelce [sic] clan needs to go away. Enough" - added another.
"He’s been shoved down our throats on ESPN and every other commercial. Only so much people can take before they get tired of it. Jason is WAY better than Bert Kreischer, but use him as an example. He was everywhere two years ago, now look at what people think about him." - responded a third.

John Ourand clarifies that comparisons for Jason Kelce's ESPN show are tough

The original poster, John Ourand, also added that comparing Jason Kelce's show numbers is tough for this slot. He noted that sometimes games like Indiana versus Notre Dame can inflate the averages.

"Comps are tough. Two weeks ago, that time slot had more than 700,000 viewers. But that figure was inflated by the Indiana-Notre Dame playoff game earlier in the night... Same time period last January averaged 436,000." - he continued.

He added that the former center was in no danger of being sidelined by ESPN because this five-show run is only part of a larger deal that also has him appear as an analyst for NFL games.

"From ESPN's perspective, viewership numbers from a late-night talk show that has a five-episode run don't matter nearly as much as other aspects of this programming deal... ESPN is happy to be in business with Jason Kelce, regardless." - Ourand concluded.

Therefore, those who are complaining of voter fatigue might not get their wish immediately to see less of the former Eagles' star on their screens.
