The New York Jets defeated the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, but the win wasn't without concerns. EDGE Jermaine Johnson, who had a brilliant start to the year, suffered an Achilles injury that, as it looks like, it's going to keep him out for the rest of the year.
Of course, mentioning an Achilles injury could lead New York fans to some kind of PTSD after what happened to Aaron Rodgers in 2024. Even though he's not as important as the quarterback, losing another good player so early in the season left some fans disgruntled with their current luck.

The EDGE situation will be really interesting to follow around the team, as they are also missing Haason Reddick - the defender is looking for an adjustment in his contract, did not report to the team ever since he was traded from the Philadelphia Eagles and it seems he could be willing to miss the whole season.
Jets looking to get into a positive record in divisional clash against the Patriots
In Week 3, Aaron Rodgers and the Jets will face the New England Patriots in a game that's suddenly more important than it looked like at first glance. That's because the Patriots have proved themselves to be way better than early expectations.
Against the Tennessee Titans, it was a sludgy contest for most of the game, but cooler heads prevailed as Aaron Rodgers made the difference. The Jets wouldn't be winning those close games in 2023 with Zach Wilson as their quarterback.
The Dolphins are a bit disappointing at the start of the season, but the Bills have started hot, obliterating Miami in Week 2. It's important for New York not to lose sight of the division leaders, because Josh Allen started the season on fire. If the Bills grab a big advantage, it will be difficult to lose it.
Now, it's time to fight for bigger things. At this point, it has to be all about making the playoffs, especially since the team hasn't done it since 2010. With or without Jermaine Johnson, there are no excuses.
