NFL fans react as Tom Brady links up with Jerry Jones ahead of FOX broadcasting debut - "Can Tom be our GM"

Cowboys fans would take literally anyone over Jerry Jones these days.

Tom Brady as a general manager in the NFL might not be the greatest idea in the world at this point, but Cowboys fans would be up for it. With Jerry Jones once again having a subpar offseason in a crucial period for the team, all options would be considered by Dallas fans.

Ahead of his NFL on Fox debut, where Brady is going to "return" to the NFL, albeit in a totally different position, the quarterback joined Jerry Jones for a sideline talk. The Cowboys owner also acts as their general manager, and he has been on fire lately for the way he has handled contract discussions this offseason.

As soon as images of the pair talking emerged on the Cowboys' Instagram, even the new analyst for NFL on Fox was touted as a replacement for Jerry. The idea was pretty obvious: whoever takes the job is better than him:

"Jerry needs to go to the retirement home" was one of their reactions

During the week, Jones said that they didn't have any urgency in getting CeeDee's deal done. Minutes after the statement, the wide receiver took to Twitter to express his unpleasantness with the situation, quoting with "LOL".

The owner has been heavily criticized by Cowboys fans, especially as he promised to go all-in in the 2024 season as he tries to take Dallas to the conference championship for the first time since the 1995 season. The lack of free agency activity and keeping Mike McCarthy as the head coach didn't age well with fans.

This only leads to situations where the fans are so upset and disappointed that they don't even care to show up anymore. This is going to be the case for a while until they prove themselves again. If it doesn't happen in 2024, a fresh start with new faces in 2025 could help them as well.
