Zach Wilson with the Denver Broncos has been one of the most curious storylines of the offseason. The former New York Jets quarterback, the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, was dealt to another team after failing to materialize into the Jets' franchise quarterback.
Most fans will argue that Wilson's career is set to become a failure, especially as there's no guarantee that the team will even retain him on the 53-man roster following the cuts after training camp. Still, a fresh start is a fresh start, and that's the only thing that can help the quarterback after the past three years.
As the Broncos released pictures of Zach Wilson using the team's new uniform, NFL fans couldn't help but think of how it didn't have the best look for either the team or the quarterback. The sentiment is that he isn't going to be an important player for Denver, and the looks didn't create a good sentiment:

"Good luck to Zach. I wish him well but he looks like a thinner version of the guy from Pee Wee's Big Adventure", wrote a Jets fan.
"Looks better in orange but still so weird to look at", said another fan.
"Denver moms are gonna absolutely love him lol", joked a third one.
After releasing Russell Wilson, the Broncos traded a sixth-round pick to the Jets in exchange for the young quarterback. Denver used a first-round pick on Bo Nix, which speaks volumes about what they think of the former New York star.
Why did the Jets let go of Zach Wilson?
The New York Jets and Zach Wilson went their separate ways because the franchise lost confidence in the quarterback, and he has lost confidence in himself.
It's common practice in the league for first-round quarterbacks to be granted patience for their development, with teams usually giving them three years to fulfill their potential. However, Wilson's situation is unique because the team has a championship-caliber defense, and his play had been awful since he took over New York's offense in 2021.
They even traded for a 39-year-old Aaron Rodgers last year so as not to waste any more time. That could've told you everything you needed to know.
