Mark Andrews was involved in a car accident earlier this morning. The Baltimore Ravens released a statement mentioning that the tight end had an accident while driving to the team's training facility.
The team's medical staff later checked Andrews; fortunately, he suffered no 'apparent injuries'. He was scheduled for a no-practice day today and is expected to practice in the coming days. The star tight end also released a statement after the accident, which said:
"I appreciate everyone's thoughts and well wishes. This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car."
Fans on social media were relieved after hearing that Andrews suffered no injuries. Here's how some of them reacted to the news this morning:

"Glad he’s okay. That’s super scary. Hope it wasn’t serious", wrote one user while highlighting the seriousness of the incident
"Man of Steel", said one fan while referring to the tight end
"Scared tf out of me", said another fan
Some fans also took objection to the Ravens' highlighting their practice facility's name, i.e., Under Armour Performance Center in the statement.
"The Ravens saying driving to the “Under Armour Performance Center “ versus just saying “practice” is hilarious.", said one user
The main thing is that Mark Andrews survived the accident with no injuries. As mentioned earlier, he will get back to practice in the coming days and will be ready to play in Week 1 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The 28-year-old tight end is a big part of the Ravens' offense, and hopefully, he will continue to play like one of the best tight ends in the league like he has done so far in his career.
Mark Andrews and Ravens' season preview
Mark Andrews missed seven games last season due to a leg fibula fracture which he suffered in Week 11's game against the Cincinnati Bengals. He did return to play in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs, but the Ravens lost that game 17-10, and their Super Bowl dreams were crushed.
In 10 games that he played in the regular season, Andrews had 45 receptions for 544 yards and six touchdowns. He will once again be a focal point of their offense alongside Zay Flowers. The franchise signed Derrick Henry in the offseason, and the star running back will complement the other skill-position players on the team quite well.
Lamar Jackson won the second MVP award of his career last season, but he is under immense pressure. The Ravens finished 13-4 last season and were the AFC's first seed. But their star quarterback played quite poorly in the AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs, and that is being held against him.
To prove his critics wrong, Jackson must have a good postseason from start to finish and lead the team to their first Super Bowl appearance since 2013.
