Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens hoped to play error-free football against Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in their divisional-round battle at Highmark Stadium on Sunday. However, the reigning NFL MVP was guilty of committing two massive mistakes in the first half.
Late in the first quarter, Jackson and wide receiver Rashod Bateman couldn't get on the same page. The quarterback expected his teammate to run a go-route and threw an ill-advised deep pass, which was picked off by defensive back Taylor Rapp.
The Ravens' defense bailed Jackson out and got the ball back in his hands without giving up any points. The team hoped it would be the only turnover their quarterback committed but on the ensuing drive, he made another unforgivable mistake.

After saving a botched snap, he tried to ad-lib a play but Bills star Damar Hamlin tackled him before he could take off with the ball. While trying to escape the safety's clutches, Jackson coughed up the ball and hit the floor. Veteran pass rusher Von Miller scooped up the ball and returned it 39 yards before being tackled to the floor by running back Justice Hill.
The Bills capitalized on the short field as Josh Allen punched the ball into the endzone to give his team a 14-7 lead.
