Following Monday Night's 19-16 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson injured his hamstring. The problem occurred in the fourth quarter, but Wilson played through the injury. While believed to have been serious at first, insider Ian Rapoport reported that it's considered a day-to-day concern. Unless there is another development, Wilson will play this Sunday.
Wilson spoke to the media this week about his hamstring injury and said that he's healing fast due to having "wolverine blood." Here's how he put it:
"I'm feeling better everyday. Ya know, day-by-day, obviously it happened Monday night but um, I heal quick, quick, I don't know it's wolverine blood or what haha."

Fans had a field day with Wilson's latest corny comment, and took to Twitter to express their thoughts. As expected, fans were ripping Wilson for his latest corny comment:
As you can probably tell from the comments, Russell Wilson is struggling in Denver this season. The Broncos are one of the biggest disappointments of the NFL campaign, particularly after the offseason hype surrounding the franchise. Standing at 2-4, much of the hype now seems like hyperbole.
Russell Wilson struggled against the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday Night
In the first half of Week 6's Thursday night game against the Los Angeles Chargers, Wilson completed 12 out of 17 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown. Things were starting to look promising for an offense that had underwhelmed thus far in the campaign. Alas, in the second half and in overtime, he completed three passes out of 11 attempts for a total of 15 yards.
It's pretty hard to win a football game when your quarterback throws for 15 yards in a half. Denver held a 13-10 lead at halftime and only managed to score one more field goal for the rest of the game. The loss dropped the Broncos to 2-4 and they sit in third place in the AFC West. Russell Wilson has received widespread criticism for the loss and for his performances this season.
With it starting to get late very early in Denver, we will see if they can turn it around in Week 7.
