NFL fans rip Tom Brady for forgetting major detail during Packers-Vikings FOX broadcast - "He is horrible," "Embarrassing"

Both the Vikings and the Packers would have taken Tom Brady in his prime as their quarterback but his analysis ability on game broadcasts does not quite reach the level at which he played. The GOAT quarterback was in charge of the NFC North's divisional clash Sunday afternoon on FOX.

Yet, he made an error that even casual fans would have gotten correct. The Packers came into this game with an 11-4 record. Those four losses have all come against teams ahead of them in the standings going into Week 17 of the 2024 NFL season. Two of them have been against the Lions, one has been against the Vikings, and the first one was against the Eagles. All three are still fighting for the NFC top seed.

Tom Brady somehow forgot that Minnesota was one of the teams that defeated Green Bay, which was inexplicable because the two teams were facing off in front of him. It was a moment that did not show the quarterback-turned-analyst in the best light.

Fans took to X/Twitter to slam the FOX analyst for his flub and said it was embarrassing. Other adjectives were also used and none of them were too flattering. Here are some of the reactions.

"He's is horrible as an announcer. But hasn't hit the level of annoying as SNF crew." - said one.

"These posts are embarrassing." - noted a second.

"He is awful at this job. It’s awkward. Just keeping it (100% emoji)" - concurred a third.

Most of the comments continued with that theme. Some asked for Greg Olsen, whom Tom Brady replaced in the booth, to be reinstated. Others said that he was destroying his legacy with his performance as an analyst.

Whatever his faults, nobody knows the intricacies of being a quarterback who won seven Super Bowls. While Tom Brady might have mistake on general stats and forgotten who defeated the Packers earlier in the season, he was at his best when analyzing passing plays in the game between the Vikings and the Packers.

He broke down how Sam Darnold found Jordan Addison on the first drive of the first half.

"When he (Darnold) puts his eyes to the left, he's telling that whole defense 'hey look where I'm throwing,' but he already knew where he was throwing. He was throwing to the right." - said Tom Brady.

It gave us an indication why FOX has hired him as part of their broadcasting team but based on the fans' reactions, such tidbits are not enough to convince them yet.
