NFL fans roast Broncos QB after Denver wins without injured star

Arizona Cardinals v Denver Broncos
The Denver Broncos won without Russell Wilson

The Denver Broncos are enjoying a much-needed win and it happened without Russell Wilson. Make of that what you will. Oh, and they put up points as well. After last week's 28-34 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Wilson was a 'healthy' scratch on Sunday.

That led Brett Rypien to take the reigns of what many described as a Super Bowl offense during training camp. What followed was superb. The Broncos managed to secure their fourth win of the year against the Arizona Cardinals with a 24-15 score.

What are the odds Wilson stays in Denver next year?

With Denver leading in all the critical stats, it had some fans thinking that maybe, just maybe, Wilson was the problem responsible for the offense's struggles after all.

WARNING: COARSE LANGUAGE BELOW.

"Russell Wilson is the f**king problem."

Other Denver and NFL fans were quick to give their thoughts on the win for Nathaniel Hackett's team.

It appears that most Denver fans are in agreement over Wilson's absence from the team and its correlation to their success. Unfortunately, they are stuck with him for the foreseeable future.

Denver did a number on the Cardinals and looking at the stats, the game probably shouldn't have been as close as it was. The Broncos, without Wilson, had more yards, first downs, plays, and had the ball for five minutes more than the Cardinals.

All of that is a recipe for success.

Rypien completed 21 of his 26 passes for 197 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Running back Latavius Murray was superb on the ground, rushing for 130 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.

Jerry Jeudy was the pick of the receivers, catching seven passes for 76 yards as Denver heaped more misery on the Cardinals.

Without Wilson, Denver looked good for the most part and won its fourth game of the year. While the AFC West is unreachable along with the playoffs, the next few weeks will play a big part in the offseason and next year.

Though there hasn't been much to like this season so far, a good ending to 2022 will provide hope to the team heading into the offseason.
