Harrison Butker and the Kansas City Chiefs have only one goal in mind. The kicker, widely recognized as one of the best in the league, has been part of the team since 2017. The Chiefs are aiming to become the first team with three straight Super Bowl wins.

Winning one Super Bowl is already difficult enough, and the Chiefs need to make sure all details are polished in order to get the third consecutive ring. Butker, who signed a four-year contract extension before the 2024 season, missed time during the season with a knee injury that made him land in injured reserve.

After his recent return, he missed a 29-yard field goal against the Cleveland Browns, and now he missed an extra point against the Pittsburgh Steelers. NFL fans, who are not very fond of the Chiefs' kicker, did not waste time to criticize him on Twitter:

"Harrison Butker missing kicks on Jesus Christ's birthday?", said one fan.
"Harrison Butker still sucking is a Christmas Miracle", said another.
"Every time he misses a kick, I feel like the universe smiles", a third fan wrote.

The reason why NFL fans are not big fans of the Chiefs' kicker is that he made controversial statements during the offseason, which sparked huge outrage for his remarks.

What were Harrison Butker's remarks during the offseason?

Speaking about what he deemed the "role of women in society", he stated that women were more interested about marriage and children as their "vocations" than what they could do to conquer the world:

"For the ladies present today, congratulations on an amazing accomplishment. I want to speak directly to you briefly because I think it is you, the women, who have had the most diabolical lies told to you. Some of you may go on to lead successful careers in the world, but I would venture to guess that the majority of you are most excited about your marriage and the children you will bring into this world. I'm on this stage today and able to be the man I am because I have a wife who leans into her vocation."

He copped tremendous backlash for his comments, and the NFL released a statement distancing itself from the kicker's views, with teammates such as Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce also distancing themselves.
