When Saquon Barkley joined the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent during the offseason, he was expected to be a dominant force on the ground. He seemingly proved his worth in his team debut against the Green Bay Packers, dominating with 109 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries, as well as a receiving touchdown.
But he seemingly vanished against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night, being limited to 95 yards and no touchdowns on 22 carries. The biggest knock on him, however, was this dropped pass on 3rd and 3 within the final two minutes that forced the Eagles to settle for a field goal:
The Falcons subsequently scored a touchdown on the next drive, before Jessie Bates made an interception to confirm a 22-21 win for Atlanta.
