Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills will host the Pittsburgh Steelers during the first round of the playoffs on Sunday. However, the Super Wildcard Weekend game between the two teams is facing the threat of being moved to a different venue due to poor weather and playing conditions.
The field at Highmark Stadium is currently drenched with snow. The Bills issued a statement, asking fans to help shovel the snow off the playing surface. The team announced that shovellers would be paid $20 per hour, and complimentary food and breaks would be provided throughout the shifts in a warm area.
NFL fans on social media joked about the Bills' dire situation. They called the team out for leaning on fans to shovel snow to ensure the game goes forward. One fan wrote:

Weather update ahead of Buffalo Bills vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Wildcard game
The weather during the Buffalo Bills' playoff battle against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Buffalo on Sunday is expected to be rough. Per democratandchronicle.com, the temperature is expected to be 25°F at game time. Snowfall is expected to hit seven inches with wind gusts of up to 41 miles per hour.
On Friday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul declared an emergency in the state. She said:
"In anticipation of the upcoming storm, I have declared a State of Emergency for Western New York, and my administration and I are monitoring the forecast as well to see whether that will be necessary for the North Country."
She also discouraged Steelers fans from traveling to Buffalo for their team's playoff game against the Bills. She said:
"One final bit of advice, and this one's for our friends who are thinking about traveling from Pittsburgh to watch the game. We think it's just better if you stay home and tune in on television."
Hochul also joked that the Steelers will have a miserable time against the Bills during the game:
"It's going to be safer for all of us. It's going to be a rough game for you anyhow."
There were suggestions that the NFL would move the game to the Cleveland Browns Stadium. However, Brian McCarthy, NFL's VP of communications, refuted the claim, saying:
"We are monitoring conditions as we do for every game, but there have been no discussions about making a change to the game’s status."
For now, the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers are expected to play in inclement weather for a place in the divisional round of the playoffs.
