Should Los Angeles win, the Steelers would be the sixth seed and have to go on the road to the Ravens. Based on recent form, Baltimore would be the favorite to win that clash at home.

The reason for today's defeat to the Bengals does not lie solely on Pickens but the wide receiver was emblematic of a stuttering offense. He caught the ball only once on six targets and did not pick up a single yard for the game's duration. He dropped three throws that he should have caught. He got agitated by the fans' frustration with his mistakes and got caught up in a verbal altercation with the supporters inside the stadium.

Russell Wilson threw his support behind George Pickens after the game, saying that he is expecting the wide receiver to come up clutch in the playoffs.

"I believe in George. I believe in who he is, the player that he is. He has been a star for us all season and he is going to be a difference-maker obviously for us in the playoffs. The Steelers better hope that Wilson is right because their offense certainly needs some help. They fell from 10-3 to 10-7 to finish the season primarily because they failed to score 20 points in their last four matches.
