The dynamic between Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh for the Jets has brought enduring speculation ever since the former Packers quarterback exchanged his Green Bay workplace for New York.
During the Jets' 24-3 Week 3 win against the New England Patriots, the quarterback appeared to push the head coach away as the latter went in for a hug following a touchdown. This immediately resulted in fans speculating about the reason for the quarterback's actions.
Here are some of the responses.

Others, however, pointed out that it was most likely a jocular exchange, with the quarterback probably conveying to his head coach that it is too early to go in for a hug when they are still in the first half.
"Coach a bit too excited to finally have a good QB. Rodgers knows you don't wanna be hugging and celebrating in the second quarter. Too early."
"Too early for a hug"
"I do. Coach it’s to early is how it looks to me"
Robert Saleh and Nathaniel Hackett's coaching elevated by Aaron Rodgers
Last year, Robert Saleh was the head coach and Nathaniel Hackett was the offensive coordinator as the Jets missed the postseason. They are still there now but the offense looks to be clicking into gear. And the difference might very well be Aaron Rodgers.
In the game against the Patriots, they had 17 first downs in the first half. In 2023, they had more than that in just four games.
Rodgers completed 15 of 20 pass attempts for 170 yards and one touchdown. He also had another drive that led to a score, threw no interceptions and posted a 116.7 passer rating.
The new era in New England is now underway with Jerod Mayo, but Aaron Rodgers made sure that their defense did not get a moment's rest in an excellent first-half showing.
