Last week, Davante Adams informed the Las Vegas Raiders that he wanted to leave the team. The franchise responded that they were willing to adhere to his wishes as long as a suitor was willing to cough up a second-round pick and other compensations.
The superstar wide receiver has been linked to several teams since then, most notably the New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens. So far, neither team has made a move for the five-time Pro Bowler, but things seemingly changed on Monday.
Kay Adams, host of the "Up and Adams Show", revealed on X/Twitter that Davante Adams was scheduled to be a guest on Wednesday's episode but canceled his appearance. She hinted that it was due to a development in his quest to leave the Raiders.
"Oh boy - lots happening at the moment with our guy Adams … he won’t be on TOMORROW. Sorry about that and stay tuned."

Adams' revelation caused a frenzy among fans on social media with many predicting that Las Vegas was closing in on trading the wide receiver.
While the consensus was that Adams was joining the Jets, a few fans predicted that other teams had successfully landed the star WR:
"Trade to Pittsburgh getting announced live in the show," one fan said.
"Can’t wait to see him on the Ravens," another fan added.
"Most obvious Chief," another fan opined.
Davante Adams to the Jets? WR reportedly keen on teaming up with Aaron Rodgers
According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Davante Adams' top priority is a reunion with former Green Bay Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers. The duo spent eight seasons as teammates in Wisconsin, and the wide receiver is interested in playing alongside him in New York.
However, the Jets aren't the only franchise on the list of teams he'd be willing to play for. Per Rapoport, the wide receiver would also be open to joining the New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers.
While it's unclear whether the Jets or one of the aforementioned teams have made a move for Adams, prompting him to bail on his appearance on Kay Adams' show, her revelation suggests that the wide receiver will be on the move soon.
