Former NFL quarterback Tom Brady is settling in to his first season as an NFL announcer. After retiring from the league following the 2022 season, Brady inked a 10-year, $375 million deal with Fox Sports to become a lead color commentator.
Brady took the 2023 season to relax as his first season off from football since joining the NFL and started his broadcasting career this Fall. Two months in, Brady has been getting mixed reviews from fans on how he has been as an announcer.
One example of Brady's words not impressing fans was his comparison of Josh Allen from when he entered the league to the present day. Brady said early on in his career, Allen was like a grade-school kid who was hyper, and now, he's a storm chaser.
"Sometimes he played like a spaz, like a grade-schooler on a sugar high, but now he’s controlled the chaos. He’s like a storm coming into town and you don’t want that storm coming into this town."

Fans were critical of Brady's performance in the booth yesterday, with many pointing out how lucrative his contract is with Fox. Some fans went to the extent of saying that Brady was horrible in the booth.
Here's how fans reacted:
"Brady’s awful, mute the TV awful," a fan said.
"Thankful for the mute button," another fan replied.
"even if he had not used a grade school ableist slur he is still so bad at this," a fan wrote.
More fans made comments about Brady's announcing from this season and yesterday. Here's how other fans reacted:
"As great as Tom Brady was at playing football, he is equally as awful at announcing football," a fan wrote.
"Tom Brady is announcing today's Seahawks game like he's the last person on Earth to discover it rains a lot in Seattle. CTE is real," a fan wrote.
"Tom Brady announcing games is nails on a chalk board," a fan said.
Tom Brady said he's been impressed with Josh Allen since he got into the league
Josh Allen is off to one of his best seasons. Through eight games, the Bills quarterback has the second-highest odds to win the 2024 NFL MVP (+400), only behind Lamar Jackson (+350), via BetMGM.
Following yesterday's win against the Seattle Seahawks and helping the Bills improve to 6-2, Tom Brady told Josh Allen that he's been impressing him with his good football play.
"You continue to impress me and you did from the day you got into the league. You're just playing such great football. You're spreading it around. You've got a lot of great options."
Allen has completed 64.1 percent of passes for 1,766 yards, 14 touchdowns, one interception, and has rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns.
The Bills will face the Miami Dolphins this Sunday at home at 1:00 p.m. Do you think Josh Allen has a legit chance at winning the MVP this year?
