After his playing career ended, Robert Griffin III signed a multi-year contract with ESPN as an analyst for college football coverage, as well as appearing on NFL Live. Today, it was announced that Griffin was dropped from the network because he was fired by ESPN.
He played as a quarterback for the Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, and the Baltimore Ravens during his nine-year career in the NFL.
Andrew Marchand of The Athletic broke the news, saying the move was financial. Griffin had two years left on his current deal with ESPN. He was previously dropped from Monday NFL Countdown, when the company hired Jason Kelce.

Jason Kelce will be replacing Robert Griffin III on Monday Night Countdown
Shortly after the 2023-2024 season, ESPN announced that Robert Griffin III had been fired from their Monday Night Countdown. The company announced that Jason Kelce, who just retired from the NFL, would be replacing him.
As a result, Griffin took a reduced role at ESPN. Griffin still called games and contributed to studio work, as well as being active on social media.
There haven't been any details as to why Griffin was fired, except for financial reasons. One way or another, the company had to pay for Kelce, and getting rid of Griffin and Samantha Ponder might have contributed.
What do you think RG3's next move will be?
