Russell Wilson has usually not been one to be seen in a "posh" outfit, but Saturday was one of those exceptions. However, his choice has elicited widespread mockery from fans.
On Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback was seen arriving at M&T Bank Stadium for the Wild Card game against the Baltimore Ravens. He was wearing an all-black ensemble - jacket, pants, and shoes, as well as a cross necklace. In addition, he had sunglasses over his eyes and a yellow bag in his hand:
That look had fans thinking that it was appropriate for what they were predicting - yet another first-round exit:

"(Slur) dressed like Future," another compared.
However, one fan did commend Wilson:
"Looking Sharp !!!! I hope he plays as well as he looks !!!!"
Russell Wilson discusses trilogy match vs. Ravens
It bears mentioning that the Ravens and Steelers split the regular-season series, with the home team winning both those games. Thus, their Wild Card clash serves as a de facto rubber match that will determine who the better team really is.
Of course, Russell Wilson will have heard all the chatter dismissing him and his cohorts as underdogs with no chance of winning. And it has not affected him. Speaking to the press before the game, he said, per The Mirror US:
"I think everybody we’ve played, we feel like we’ve had a chance in those games. Obviously, the Ravens are a good football team. It’s going to be a heavyweight fight. We’ve battled back and forth with those guys and we feel like, if we just do right and look forward to the next moment, that’s got to be the only thing that matters."
He continued:
"When you step in the playoffs, it’s a new slate. It’s a new opportunity and that’s just the truth. That’s just the reality of what it is, no matter how successful you’ve been in the regular season. We have a choice to respond the right way. We believe that there’s nobody on the list that we cannot beat.”
When asked whether he felt any pressure, he said:
“I just always think about the moment. I’m not really worried about down the road. … That always handles itself. I’m excited about that.”
