"Keep politics OUT of my league": NFL fans turn on Taylor Heinicke for supporting Donald Trump, JD Vance campaign

Taylor Heinicke has been photographed with former President Donald Trump and his 2024 Vice Presidential nominee, J.D. Vance. The duo were in Atlanta for a campaign event, and Heinicke, a backup Atlanta Falcons QB, spent time with them at the event.

Heinicke is also not shy about his political leanings, as he wore a shirt plastered with the image of Trump rising from his attempted assassination earlier this year. It's become a rallying image for many, and Heinicke wore it to meet the 45th President of the United States.

This prompted many NFL fans to react. A lot of the response to Henicke's image was negative, as many fans didn't want to see an NFL quarterback posing with two political figures.

"I knew I saw him on January 6th," one joked.

"Way to support white supremacists smh. I don’t even want Heinicke as our QB3 anymore. This is trash," another criticized.

"No!!!! Heinicke I liked you so much!! Now I have to hate you. Go******t!!!" another yelled.

A lot of fans don't care to know who Heinicke supports, while many are displeased with the fact that it's the conservative option for President this year.

While a lot of fans hated seeing Taylor Heinicke's picture with Donald Trump and J.D. Vance, that was not a universal feeling. That's unsurprising, as there is rarely anything universal in American politics these days. Some fans praised the QB for his choices.

"Let's go trump 2024," another added.

"We all stand with HeiniGOAT," another said.

"Who cares. Let them be themselves without people trying to make them look like racists," one more said.

In wholly unsurprising fashion, the responses to the seeming revelation of Heinicke's political leanings have caused a divide among NFL fans. While it has historically had a more conservative audience, football has a diverse viewership now.
