The NFL revealed the rosters for the 2025 Pro Bowl games, and there were more than a few glaring omissions. While players are named to the roster by the consensus votes of fans, coaches and fellow players, one man's absence raised a few more eyebrows - Baker Mayfield.
Quote tweeting his own announcement of the roster, ESPN insider Adam Schefter wrote:
"No Baker Mayfield."

Mayfield has been balling out this year, repaying the faith the Tampa Bay Buccaneers showed when they handed him a three-year, $100 million deal after he was released from the Carolina Panthers.
Heading into Week 18, Mayfield has thrown for 3,920 yards and 34 touchdowns to go with 15 interceptions. He has also rushed for an additional 308 yards and three scores.
2025 Pro Bowl rosters: Ravens lead the way with nine selections
While the likes of Baker Mayfield, Kerby Joseph and Danielle Hunter were snubbed from the Pro Bowl, MVP contender Lamar Jackson's Baltimore Ravens have nine players on 2025's roster, leading the way.
Jackson himself leads selections along with Derrick Henry (RB), Zay Flowers (who became the first WR to make the Pro Bowl in the franchise's 29-year history), Patrick Ricard (FB), Nnamdi Madubuike (DT), Marlon Humphrey (CB), Kyle Hamilton (S), Tyler Linderbaum (C) and Roquan Smith (LB).
The Detroit Lions (seven), Minnesota Vikings (six), Philadelphia Eagles (six), Kansas City Chiefs (five) and Dallas Cowboys (five) are the other NFL teams with at least five Pro Bowlers on the roster this year.
2025 Pro Bowl snubs feat. Baker Mayfield
Mayfield certainly leads the way in the list of snubs, but it's difficult to make the roster when you have Jayden Daniels, who's having a historic rookie year, Sam Darnold, an outside MVP contender, and Jared Goff, who has been at the top of his game and was also in MVP consideration for a while.
Additional rejections include Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Brian Thomas Jr., who is fifth in the NFL in receiving yards (1,179) and is tied for fifth with 10 receiving touchdowns.
Danielle Hunter, who moved to the Houston Texans this summer, was also left out despite leading the NFL with 90 QB pressures, five more than Trey Hendrickson, who's second.
