Aaron Rodgers' future in the NFL could have implications on Garrett Wilson's decision about his own career, according to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport. The 41-year-old quarterback is expected to take time again this offseason to ponder his options and decide if he wants to continue playing football.
On Sunday, Rapoport reported that the New York Jets wide receiver hasn't asked the team for a trade at this point. However, he said that if Rodgers decides to return then Wilson could ask.
"Has not requested a trade, but if (Aaron) Rodgers is back, that is one of the options for how to proceed," Rapoport said.

Jets WR Garrett Wilson "frustrated" with QB Aaron Rodgers: Report
Garrett Wilson has 90 catches for 987 yards and six touchdowns this season. The wide receiver and the Jets are still looking for him to become a standout number-one wide receiver. According to NFL Network's NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, Aaron Rodgers may be the one holding Wilson back.
Wilson and Rodgers allegedly had a disagreement during training camp that has never truly healed. Rapoport said that Wilson is still 'frustrated' that he and Rodgers aren't on the same page.
"While Wilson will not publicly say it, those who know him well believe he's been frustrated at the lack of looks from Rodgers while wondering what else he can do to fix the relationship," Rapoport said.
As Rapoport reported, Wilson hasn't spoken about their issues in public. Aaron Rodgers told reporters that he spoke with his wide receiver about their issues.
"I've talked to him throughout the season about some of it, yeah. Not this week. Not in the last couple of weeks, but it's not the first time. So, there's been conversations about it. Receivers want the ball. I understand that," the Jets quarterback told reporters on Tuesday.
The New York Jets have just two games remaining this season before what appears to be an interesting offseason.
