Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets officially have a new general manager and a new head coach in place, which means it's now time for the franchise to sit down and make some tough calls on what the roster will look like next season, starting with the curious case of what to do with the quarterback.
While Jets fans were rightly frustrated with the direction of the franchise given that 2024 ended in a 5-win season, there were some bright spots when Rodgers was on top of things. He ended the season with 3,897 passing yards, good for 8th in the league, 28 touchdowns (tied for 7th) and 11 interceptions (tied 15th).
On Sunday, Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer appeared on the "NFL on Fox" show and delivered an update on what new head coach Aaron Glenn is thinking when it comes to Rodgers' future with the franchise.
Glazer reported that Glenn told him he has plans on sitting down with Rodgers and assured him that they will "definitely come up with a decision much sooner than later."

"I don't want to drag this out," Glenn reportedly told Glazer.
Aaron Rodgers open to taking a pay cut to return to the New York Jets
Towards the end of the season, with numerous questions over his future with the Jets, Aaron Rodgers was asked by reporters whether he would consider reworking his $112.5 million deal to make things easier, financially, for the franchise.
The QB answered that he would be open to "everything." It's pertinent to note that Rodgers also took a huge pay cut when he was traded to the Jets.
He is in the final year of the $112.5 million extension he signed after being traded to the Jets. If he's on the roster for 2025, the Jets' cap hit stands at $23.5 million. Rodgers is also owed a $35 million option bonus in addition to a base salary of $2.5 million.
Interestingly, Aaron Rodgers also said he would be open to mentoring "the hell" out of a young quarterback if the franchise decides to draft one in April, but added that he would play well enough to make sure the rookie never sees the field in his first year in the league.
