NFL insider Tracy Wolfson revealed Brittany Mahomes' due date as she and Patrick Mahomes are expecting their third child. Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are the No. 1 seed in the AFC and have a first-round bye.
Wolfson reveals Brittany and Patrick are expected to have their third child on Sunday.
"No one happier to get back to KC than Patrick Mahomes. He told me his wife Brittany is due to give birth to their 3rd child on Sunday. If she doesn’t give birth by then she will be induced Monday. There was def extra motivation for Patrick to get that bye week!" Wolfson wrote.

Patrick Mahomes will be able to see the birth of his third child because he is on a bye. If Mahomes and the Chiefs weren't on the bye, the quarterback could've been playing a playoff game on Sunday when his wife was due to give birth.
Mahomes finished the year going 392-for-581 for 3,928 yards, 26 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He didn't play in Week 18 as the Chiefs rested their key starters.
Patrick Mahomes is grateful for bye and No. 1 seed
After the Kansas City Chiefs locked up the No. 1 seed in the AFC, the team was grateful to get the bye. Starting quarterback Patrick Mahomes says the bye is crucial for getting guys healthy for another deep playoff run.
"It's just going to be nice getting guys healthy,'' Mahomes said after the win over the Steelers, ESPN. "I think this was the earliest [regular-season] bye I've ever had just in general. To kind of have this grind of whatever it is -- I think we had our bye Week 6 -- so it's like almost 10 weeks of just football and grinding and then this short schedule at the very end of the year.
"We have some guys banged up, and to get them back healthy now and we'll see how Week 18 goes and who plays and who doesn't play. That's up to Coach [Andy Reid]. But even getting this little break, getting back healthy and then getting ourselves ready to go for the playoffs, it was super important.''
The Chiefs are looking to become the first team in NFL history to win three straight Super Bowls.
