An NFL insider revealed Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis’s reaction following the team’s victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday. The Raiders secured a 19-14 win, but with the victory, they dropped to the No. 6 spot in the overall pick order for the 2025 NFL Draft.

Despite this, the team owner seemed unbothered by their draft position, as he was focused on celebrating the win with players including Daniel Carlson and AJ Cole.

Per The Athletic’s Tashan Reed, Davis was seen in the locker room with the players “clapping.” Reed shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), writing:

"#Raiders owner Mark Davis was in the locker room clapping and talking to Daniel Carlson and AJ Cole when the locker room opened to the media," Reed said. "Some other players were dancing. Davis was in a good mood. Doesn't seem to care about the draft order ramifications of the win over JAX."

With the victory, the Las Vegas Raiders appear to have drifted further away from the much-speculated Tom Brady-Shedeur Sanders project. The seven-time NFL champion, who recently purchased a five percent stake in the Raiders, was expected to influence the team’s 2025 draft decisions significantly.

Brady shares a strong connection with Sanders and it is rumored that he will use his influence to draft the young quarterback. However, securing Sanders could be a challenge with the Raiders now at the No. 6 spot in the draft order.

Tom Brady compares Shedeur Sanders to sports legends

In September, Tom Brady had an engaging discussion about Shedeur Sanders with his father, Deion Sanders, during the latter’s appearance on the NFL legend’s podcast. Brady and Deion spoke about Shedeur on the Let’s Go! podcast, and during their conversation, the former New England Patriots quarterback praised Shedeur by comparing him to sports legends such as Tiger Woods, Mike Tyson and Michael Jordan.

"I love seeing when people go out there to compete, that's ultimately what the game's all about," Brady said about Shedeur Sanders via Bleacher Report. "Mike Tyson wasn't trying to make friends. Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, they were't trying to make friends. You're out there to do a job. Tiger Woods wasn't trying to make friends.
"We weren't trying to make friends. I love when I see other people like that. I relate to them so much more than the guys hugging on the field in pregame. Man, get that out of here. That was a bunch of BS to me, I was never trying to love anyone up," he added.

Shedeur Sanders has shown remarkable athletic achievements in 2024 alone and could have been a valuable addition to the Raiders. The 22-year-old recorded four rushing touchdowns and 33 passing touchdowns this year.

However, the Raiders' recent victory against the Jacksonville Jaguars has diminished Sanders's chances of joining the team in 2025.
