With Chris Godwin set to become a free agent in 2025, reports have suggested he could move away from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The wide receiver signed a $60 million, three-year deal with the Bucs in 2022.

On Tuesday, Fox Sports' Greg Auman reported that Godwin could move from his current team in search of a larger payday.

"I'm sure McMillan's improved play is a factor in how much Bucs would be willing to pay Godwin," Auman said. "They love Godwin, and he loves Tampa, but he might get more elsewhere as one of the top free-agent WRs, even coming off a major injury."

Chris Godwin has recorded at least 1,000 receiving yards in the last three seasons. He was on pace to match that mark this year before going down with a season-ending ankle injury in October. He caught 50 passes for 576 yards and five TDs.

Godwin joined the Buccaneers in 2017. His best season was in 2019, when he registered 1,333 yards and nine touchdowns.

As per TWSN, Godwin could be a perfect fit for the New England Patriots.
