Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts is expected to reach a massive contract extension with the team this offseason. Hurts is entering the final year of his rookie contract and the team would like to extend him this offseason before the 2023 season begins.

According to league sources, he is the Eagles' top priority this offseason and is expected to be one of the top-three paid quarterbacks in the league. There are reports that state that his contract value is expected to be higher than Josh Allen's six-year, $258 million contract that pays him $43 million per season.

Hurts could receive a deal worth $50 million plus a year, as the Eagles value him as one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL.

Hurts deserves a massive contract extension. He took over as the Eagles' starter in 2021 after starting four games as a rookie in 2020. He led the Eagles to the playoffs last season but fell to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

A year later, he had an MVP-like season as he led the Eagles to the Super Bowl.

He went 14-1 as the team's starting quarterback in the regular season, recording 3,701 passing yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions. He was a problem for opposing defenses on his feet as he rushed for 760 yards and 13 touchdowns.
