Deion Sanders could make a shocking decision and leave the Colorado Buffaloes to go coach in the NFL. He has been linked with a move to the Dallas Cowboys over the last two years or so, but the two-time Super Bowl champion might have his sight set on a different organization.
On Saturday, Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that "according to a person with knowledge of the situation," Sanders is interested in becoming the next Las Vegas Raiders head coach.
"'He has a very strong interest in the job,' the person said," Bonsignore wrote.

Deion Sanders' camp has reached out to the Silver and Black to express interest in their head-coaching vacancy. Still, it's unclear whether the Raiders are interested in bringing the 57-year-old to Allegiant Stadium.
In his second season with the Buffaloes, Sanders led the squad to a 9-4 record, becoming bowl-eligible after posting a 4-8 record in his debut season in Colorado. Before this, he was the head coach at Jackson State, leading them to a combined 27-6 record from 2020 through 2022.
Shedeur Sanders is set to enter the NFL draft after playing under his father for the past two years. The Raiders finished the 2024 NFL season with a 4-13 record, and they hold the sixth overall pick in the 2025 draft.
They fired both head coach Antonio Pierce and general manager Tom Telesco fresh off that poor season and are now in search of a new tandem to lead their project.
Deion Sanders could coach in the NFL under one condition
Deion Sanders explained on Wednesday what it would take for him to go coach in the NFL.
"The only way I would consider [coaching in the NFL] is to coach my sons," Sanders said Wednesday on "Good Morning America."
It remains to be seen if the Tennessee Titans (No. 1 overall pick), Cleveland Browns (No. 2 overall pick), New York Giants (No. 3 overall pick) and even the Jacksonville Jaguars (No. 5 overall pick), all teams in need of a quarterback, draft Shedeur and take him away from Las Vegas.
Those scenarios would put some of these teams in complex positions, as rumors have it Deion Sanders would block Shedeur Sanders from going to certain franchises.
