Tom Brady and Sean Payton were planning to unite at the Miami Dolphins this season, but their plans were hindered by Brian Flores' lawsuit.
Flores, the former Dolphins head coach, accused owner Stephen M. Ross of illegal tampering. As a result, the Dolphins were penalized by the league. However, Brady and Payton could well still be on their way to Miami next season.
As per a recent report by Outkick, the Dolphins could part ways with the entire coaching staff, including Mike McDaniel, if they fail to win on Sunday. The Dolphins were 8-3 to start the season but having lost five straight games. They could now miss out on the playoffs if they lose in Week 18.

Tua Tagovailoa's injury has derailed the Miami Dolphins' season, but it could present an opportunity for them to get their main men to Miami.
Tom Brady will be a free agent after this season and is predicted to leave the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Sean Payton appears eager to get back into the NFL and is likely to pair up with Brady next season.
If the Dolphins do decide to part ways with McDaniel, owner Stephen Ross is free to pursue Payton and Brady heavily. All of this is still a far-fetched idea, but we can't rule out the possibility.
Ross has been more than eager to bring in Brady-Payton in the past and the head injuries to Tua Tagovailoa could lead to him trying again. Mike McDaniel has done a great job with the franchise and had Tagovailoa not gotten hurt, this team would have cruised to the playoffs.
Tom Brady will be pursued by many teams, but a move to Miami from Tampa Bay would be ideal for him considering his ex-wife and kids live there too.
Are Tom Brady and the Bucs a sneaky Super Bowl contender?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers managed to win the NFC South and are on their way to the playoffs. They are likely to match up against the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC Wildcard Game.
Brady is the best playoff performer in the history of the game, and we can see him leading his team to another deep playoff run. The entire NFC is led by inexperienced quarterbacks and quarterbacks who haven't stepped up in the playoffs, due to which Brady and the Bucs could surprise many.
Not many people are high on the Buccaneers, but it wouldn't be a shock if we see Tom Brady playing in another Super Bowl. It will be interesting to see if he can manage it in what could be his final season in Tampa Bay.
