NFL Rumors: Tom Brady linked with stepping out on $375,000,000 deal to focus on latest investment

Tom Brady could step away from the announcing booth after just one season with FOX Sports. The NFL icon-turned-commentator, who is on a lucrative 10-year, $375 million deal with the broadcast giants, could focus on his minority ownership role with the Las Vegas Raiders instead.

As per Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, Brady could bow out of his broadcasting deal with FOX before the 2025 NFL season. He joined the company before the 2024 season and is tied down to them through the 2033 season.

Marchand boldly claimed that Brady will not last the full 10 years of his on-air FOX deal. He suggested that the former quarterback could continue commentating for three or four years, but now predicts Brady to step away from his announcing role in the 2025 offseason, due to his other business ventures.

In October, the Raiders announced that Brady and his business partner Tom Wagner acquired a 10% ownership stake in the team. Brady personally holds 5% of the minority ownership stake.

There was some controversy around Brady's ownership of an NFL team as well due to his active FOX contract. Reports claimed that he can no longer be in another team's facility, witness practice or attend broadcast production meetings, among other restrictions.

Hence, with complications of his dual role, Marchand feels Brady could step out of his broadcast deal with FOX in the coming months.

Earlier this week, reports claimed that Tom Brady is expected to play an important role in helping the Las Vegas Raiders decide their picks in the 2025 NFL draft.

The Raiders (4-12) are at the bottom of the AFC West and need a rebuild. As things stand, they hold the No. 8 pick in the upcoming draft, which could change depending on results in the final slate of regular-season games.

However, reports suggest that the Raiders are monitoring a star quarterback to lead their franchise in the upcoming draft. Brady, a seven-timer Super Bowl winning QB, will reportedly have a "huge voice" in the decision.
