Wide receiver Adam Thielen was released by the Minnesota Vikings last week. He could be nearing a deal with the defending Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to league sources, the Chiefs and Thielen have discussed a possible deal.
The Chiefs currently have two free-agent wide receivers, JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman. The Chiefs could be looking to replace one of them with Thielen.

Per James Palmer, multiple wide receivers around the league have been blowing up quarterback Patrick Mahomes' phone about potentially joining the team.
Thielen spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career in Minnesota. He was due to earn $19 million this season and didn't accept a pay cut resulting in his release.
The 32-year-old has been named to two Pro Bowls (2017, 2018) and was named a second-team All-Pro in 2017. He's caught 534 passes for 6,682 yards and 55 touchdowns. Thielen is one of the best wide receivers on the open market after the Las Vegas Raiders inked New England Patriots wide receiver Jakobi Meyers this morning.
What moves have the Kansas City Chiefs made this off-season?
The Kansas City Chiefs have made many moves this off-season. At the start of free agency, they chose not to franchise tag offensive tackle Orlando Brown, making him a free agent. They franchise tagged him last season and he was expected to potentially be tagged this off-season after seeking a contract of more than $20 million per year.
The Chiefs then released pass rusher Frank Clark. Yesterday, they inked former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Jaawan Taylor to a lucrative four-year $80 million deal.
The deal makes Taylor the fourth highest-paid offensive tackle. The former second-round pick has started 66 games in his four-year career.
The Chiefs aren't done making moves and could sign more free agents in the coming days.
