Rashee Rice might be out of the picture for the Kansas City Chiefs this season after suffering a suspected ACL tear in Sunday's game against the LA Chargers. Rice's name could land on a long list of injury troubles at the skill positions for the Chiefs. That said, one NFL analyst believes that now might be the time to start making calls to bring in additional talent.

NFL analyst Peter Schrager took to X and recommended four players who could be worth targeting.

Three of the names are on the plus side of 30 so their potential addition might just be short-term. Amari Cooper plays for the 1-3 Browns, who could be sellers at the trade deadline.

Cooper Kupp plays for the 1-3 LA Rams, who could also be sellers if things don't turn around quickly. Kupp is still recovering from injury so the Rams will likely wait until he is healed to increase his value. Of course, as one of the faces of the franchise, such a move would indicate a massive shift for the team beyond just moving on from a wide receiver.

Keenan Allen's addition hasn't quite materialized as some may have expected. Even if the Chicago Bears remain in the race in the NFC North, moving on from him could make sense. Jalin Hyatt has yet to record his first statistics this year. In his second season, a wide range of outcomes are possible for him.

Could Rashee Rice's injury signal a potential effective end of tenure with Kansas City Chiefs?

Rashee Rice's availability for the entire 2024 campaign was in question at one point this offseason. Accused of committing eight felonies in Dallas in connection to a hit-and-run, Rice's long-term future in the NFL is in doubt.

A single felony has a minimum one-year sentence so if Rashee Rice is found guilty, his ability to play out a long career in the league would be severely compromised.

Even if the NFL refuses to hand out a long-term punishment some are already bracing for, spending time in prison for an extended period will only make his return to the league tougher. The court date for Rice is set for June 2025 (per Chiefs Blitz) and depending on how it goes, Rice may not be able to play in the 2025 season.

Of course, that assumes he'll be fully healthy. Rice's season might very well be over due to injury and he may have already played his last snap in the league.
