Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni celebrated his quarterback Jalen Hurts' performance after making it to the Super Bowl with a win over the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship game. Philadelphia, playing at home, won 55-23, which was the most scored by any team in a conference title match.
Saquon Barkley was electric but Jalen Hurts played his part and Nick Sirianni was quick to point that out in his postgame conference. With a smiling quarterback by his side, the head coach said,
"How about our quarterback? How about our quarterback? He's a stud. I knew he was going to play that way. I knew it! Don't doubt him. All he does is win!"

Nick Sirianni toasts Jalen Hurts making Eagles and playoffs history
Jalen Hurts completed 20 of his 28 passes for 246 yards. He had one touchdown, no interceptions, and finished with a passer rating of 110.1. Not having turnovers was crucial, because that is what sunk the Commanders. With this victory over Washington in the NFC Championship game, the Eagles quarterback became the first one to take his franchise to two Super Bowls as the starter. Nobody has done this before in Philadelphia's history.
As good as his numbers were through the air, Nick Sirianni had more reason to praise his quarterback because of what he did on the ground. He had 10 carries for 16 yards but they yielded three touchdowns from close range. It meant that he now has nine running scores in the playoffs, which passes Hall-of-Fame quarterback Steve Young for the most in postseason history.
After demolishing the Commanders, the Eagles now get a chance for some redemption. Two years ago, they lost the Super Bowl to the Kansas City Chiefs in a close game and they can avenge that in New Orleans. However, they have gained some measure of revenge this year after the way their 2023 season ended.
Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts were roundly blamed for a late-season collapse and going out in the Wild Card round. They changed both their offensive and defensive coordinators and the Philadelphia head coach does not call plays now. However, they have banded together, with a lot of help from Saquon Barkley who had three touchdowns tonight, and Vic Fangio who has turned over the defense, and reached another Super Bowl.
Their season is not yet over but they will fear no comers in New Orleans as they look like a well-balanced team that can win the title.
