Throughout the 2024 NFL season, Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen have been dueling for the MVP award. However, on Sunday, they'll battle to keep their team's Super Bowl dream alive when the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills go head-to-head at M&T Bank Stadium in the Divisional Round.

The victor will be rewarded with a spot in the AFC Championship Game. The loser, according to Nick Wright, will have to deal with relentless vitriol. On Fox Sports' "First Things First", the analyst warned Jackson and Allen that they'll become the talk of the town for the wrong reasons and won't be afforded much sympathy if they perform poorly on Sunday.

"I actually think we're in a weird spot, man. The media is going to come for somebody... The loser of this game, unless it is a 2021 Chiefs-Bills, type of game where its just both guys play A+ plus games, is gonna get cooked," Wright said.

Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen's playoff record

Despite being among the best quarterbacks in the league since their sophomore years in 2019, neither Lamar Jackson nor Josh Allen has a notable playoff record.

The Ravens superstar is 3-4 in the playoffs and his performances have left a lot to be desired. The two-time MVP has 1,499 passing yards, eight passing touchdowns, six interceptions, 608 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns in his seven postseason outings.

On the flip side, in 11 playoff games, the Bills' signal-caller has notched 2,995 passing yards, 23 touchdown passes and only four interceptions. He has also rushed for 609 yards and five touchdowns. However, his performances haven't translated into wins as often as he'd have hoped. His postseason record is a subpar 6-5.

It hasn't always been the case in the past, but this year, both quarterbacks have stellar supporting casts and a roster built to win the Super Bowl. Whoever loses on Sunday will not only have to deal with the disappointment of coming up short, but they will also have to deal with their credibility being questioned by fans and analysts alike.
