Coming into 2022, a cloud of anxiety surrounded Patrick Mahomes and whether the Kansas City Chiefs could tread water without speedy wide receiver Tyreek Hill. Now, as one NFL analyst has claimed, the idea of a regression without Hill is a dead narrative.
Speaking on the "Rich Eisen Show," Rich Eisen outlined how the team hasn't skipped a beat despite losing Hill. The Chiefs have recorded the most yardage in the NFL heading into Week 13. Here's how he put it:
"You take a look at the standings, as a matter of fact, and rubber's meeting road in the AFC with the Chiefs. No Tyreek Hill, no big whoop. 9-2. They won nine of their first 11."
Eisen also addressed Mahomes' worst loss of the season, essentially calling it an anomaly:

"A loss to the Indianapolis Colts. That will still be a head scratcher when the season is done, no matter what happens between now and the end of the season."
Just another year of domination for Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs
At the peak of Tom Brady's career and other dominant NFL quarterbacks, Kansas City Chiefs fans used to house a perennial sense of anxiety heading into the year. Often times, any change that occurred was pointed to as the one that would finally end the Chiefs' rule.
Then, as the year continues, it becomes more clear that it is just another year of domination for Patrick Mahomes and Co. That has been the case so far in 2022 as well.
The quarterback has thrown for 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions this year. At 9-2, it would take a complete implosion for the team to fall to a place that would sound alarm.
Mahomes is just ten touchdowns shy of having the second most-productive season of his career. With six games to go, he needs just two five-touchdown performances or about two touchdowns per game.
He has had eight games this year in which he's thrown for multiple scores and zero games in which he has thrown for zero touchdowns.
Will Patrick Mahomes wrap up the year at a consistent pace?
