DeAndre Hopkins matched up to fans' expectations in his second game as a Kansas City Chiefs player in the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He scored two touchdowns for the Chiefs, which helped them win the game 30-24.
However, it seems that the victory has boosted Hopkins' confidence too much. He took to X (formerly Twitter) to post a picture of Randy Moss and Tom Brady, the iconic WR-QB duo of the New England Patriots. He merely captioned the post with an ellipsis, leaving it up to his followers to interpret the meaning of the post.
Most fans put two and two together and figured that he was comparing himself and Patrick Mahomes to the iconic duo. However, they weren't buying it and trolled the Chiefs wideout.
One fan said that it wasn't too late to delete the post before he was trolled further.

"Not too late to delete this"
Another fan pointed out that as iconic as the duo may be, the two had actually not won a Super Bowl together.
"You know these 2 never won a Super Bowl together right?"
Others also joined in getting their jokes off on him for the comparison.
"bro you had less than 100 yards chill," one fan said that he was getting too ahead of himself as he had just recorded 86 yards in the Buccanneers game.
"LMAO comparing yourself to Randy Moss is f***ing crazy 💀💀" another fan also echoed the same thoughts and said that it was too soon for him to be comparing himself to the legendary wideout.
"You think?!?!? It’ll be cool to see" one fan said that they'll be eagerly waiting to see if the Mahomes-Hopkins duo really does turn out to be like Brady and Moss.
"Show some dignity" another fan asked Hopkins to show some respect to Moss and not compare himself to the Patriots great.
Hopkins shuts down rumors of trolling Titans
After scoring a touchdown against the Bucs, the Chiefs wideout performed a celebratory dance which was reminiscent of the football movie, "Remember the Titans".
Many fans had whispered online that he was trolling the Titans after they traded him to the Chiefs. However, Hopkins cleared the air and said that if anything, he was giving a shoutout to his former team.
"It was a shoutout to Tennessee," Hopkins said in his tweet.
He said that he loved Nashville and were it not for the Titans, Hopkins would not have ended up with the reigning Super Bowl champions.
