Between Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid and Travis Kelce, fans have a plethora of options for choosing the most important piece to the Kansas City Chiefs' dynasty. However, one NFL analyst has named the architect behind the scenes as the true source of the team's power.

While speaking on Good Morning Football, NFL insider Peter Schrager lauded the team's general manager Brett Veach for the work he has done. Here's how he put it:

"I'm still amazed at what GM Brett Veach was able to do with this Chiefs roster. 24 of 53 players on that field celebrating Sunday were not on the field when they lost to the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game last year. He's the maestro of this symphony."

Heading into 2022, many wrote off the Chiefs after parting ways with Tyreek Hill while on a downward trend, however slight. In 2019, they won the Super Bowl. In 2020, they reached the Big Game once again but lost. In 2021, they failed to even reach the game as they fell to Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC title game.

However, 2022 put them right back to where they were at the height of their power in 2019. Mahomes threw for the second-most touchdowns of his career and for more than 5,000 yards. He also completed a career-high 67.1 percent of his throws.

In the Super Bowl, Mahomes put up one of his most accurate games of the season at 77.8 percent. He also threw for three touchdowns and zero interceptions. However, many had doubts that he would even finish the game after taking an awkward landing that appeared to aggravate his pre-existing high-ankle sprain.

Now, the next question becomes whether the quarterback, coach or parts of the roster have reached contentment with their ring collection. Will the entire team be as hungry next season as they were in 2022?
