On Tuesday, tragedy struck Southern California as several towns from the Pacific Coast to inland Pasadena were engulfed in wildfires. Several areas in Los Angeles have been severely affected since as the fires continue to grow despite the best efforts of state authorities due to the infamous Santa Ana winds, native to the region.

Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp and his family live near the areas affected by the wildfires but his wife Anna revealed via an Instagram post that their residence is safe from the flames. She wrote:

"Thank you to all of you who have checked in on us. We are currently safe from the fire and our home isn't immediately threatened. Unlike so so many of our close friends and community members who have lost their homes and businesses in a span of mere hours. The destruction is unfathomable."

Anna empathized with those who weren't as lucky and lost their homes and businesses in the wildfires. She vowed to help them once the flames were doused, adding:

"Our hearts are so heavy. Cooper and I are currently looking into ways we can help those who have been affected by this tragedy. Until then, we continue to pray for peace and safekeeping over the families who have suffered so much already, prayer for our heroes actively fighting these fires, and prayer for the winds to subside and the land to heal. We love you LA."

NFL's contingency plan for wildfire: Rams vs. Vikings

Knowing there are no guarantees that the wildfire ravaging Los Angeles could be tamed before the playoff clash between the Rams and the Minnesota Vikings at SoFi Stadium, the NFL has a contingency plan for the game. The league released a statement on social media that read:

"Our hearts are with Los Angeles and everyone affected by the fires. We continue to prepare to play the Vikings-Rams game as scheduled Monday night at SoFi Stadium. As with all games, there are contingency plans in the event a change in location is needed. In this instance, the game would be played on Monday night at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, AZ, if necessary."

Fortunately, it's the final game of the Super Wild Card round and is scheduled to kick off on Monday night. The league has plenty of time to monitor the situation and decide whether the game should be held in LA or be moved to Arizona.
