Aaron Rodgers' days with the Green Bay Packers are set to end, with the franchise interested in moving on from the quarterback. They are also keen to get rid of his expensive salary as they turn to Jordan Love as the new franchise quarterback.
However, while the front office is set to give Love the franchise quarterback role, not all of Rodgers' teammates are happy with the possibility of moving on from him. Running back Aaron Jones, who recently agreed to a salary reduction, is one of the players who wants the four-time MVP to stay.
"A Rod has played a huge part in my career. I remember I wasn't even active, not even special teams, nothing. In my first game, I came on the field and Aaron Rodgers was like, 'I'm one of his biggest fans in this organization'. To hear that from the future Hall of Famer does a lot for your confidence, and then just a certain point, I wouldn't be in the game. I wouldn't be playing if Aaron doesn't turn to the sideline to Mike McCarthy and says 'I want 33 in the game. Call the timeout. I want 33.'"

Rodgers' influence will be something that the 28-year-old running back will forever be grateful for.
"And so, just for somebody to believe in me, and trusting me that much, when I do get that opportunity, I'll make the most of it and make him look good. You know, he definitely has played a huge role, and I'd hate to see him leave. He's a great leader, that's my guy."
Where will Aaron Rodgers play in 2023?
There seem to be three possible options for the veteran quarterback next season. The most likely seems to be the Las Vegas Raiders, who have a team with many stars and Aaron Rodgers' best friend, wide receiver Davante Adams.
The second option is to stay with the Packers, accept a contract restructure, and try to win another ring with the team. There's also the possibility of playing for the New York Jets, as they look to fix the quarterback position to aid a roster full of talented young players.
If the 39-year-old does decide to retire, then he'll be subject to return a ton of signing bonus money to the Packers. It will be interesting to see what the star quarterback decides.
