"It could cost them" - Packers are making a $20 million mistake with Aaron Rodgers, Chris Broussard claims

Aaron Rodgers: Green Bay Packers v Chicago Bears

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have begun to play well and have won back-to-back games for the first time since September.

They defeated the Los Angeles Rams and remain in the hunt for the playoffs. Despite their win over the Rams, Chris Broussard believes that the Packers are making an egregious error by continuing with Rodgers and not Jordan Love.

Here's what Chris Broussard said about Aaron Rodgers after he led them to a win against the Los Angeles Rams:

"I love Aaron Rodgers' never say die attitude that we will make the playoffs, I'm not sitting on that bench until we are eliminated mathematically."

He continued:

"However, it could be a cost. It has stifled the development potential or at least for the packers to see what Jordan Love is made of against real NFL competition in real NFL situations in the games."

Broussard added:

"It could cost them $20 million. A $20 million mistake when they pick up his fifth-year option presumably this offseason."

Jordan Love did look good during his short cameo against the Philadelphia Eagles, but Rodgers returned the following week as he was healthy enough to play. This robbed Love of a chance to show everyone what he is capable of.

Nevertheless, it could still work in the favor of the Packers, as they can still make it to the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers looks engaged and that is a very positive sign for them.

The Packers will be the underdogs in their must-win game against the Miami Dolphins this week:

Until the Green Bay Packers are mathematically eliminated from playoff contention, Rodgers won't sit out. As a result, there is a high possibility that we might not see Jordan Love at all this season.

The Packers are unlikely to part ways with Jordan Love even if Rodgers returns next season as he has shown signs of progress. For now, Rodgers and the Packers prepare to face the Miami Dolphins.

It will be a tough game for them but if Rodgers gets going, it will be a really good game. The Packers' defense is also capable of limiting Tua Tagovailoa. It will be interesting to see if Green Bay can continue to claw their way towards the postseason.
