During the Green Bay Packers' 34-0 shutout against the New Orleans Saints on Monday, Packers running back Josh Jacobs appeared to leave the field with some pain.
Jacobs also played just one series in the second half of last night's blowout win, causing some fear in some Packers fans that their star running back was hurt. Jacobs quickly dismissed that narrative speaking to the media after the game.
"Yeah, coach told me at halftime if we scored again that basically, I was gonna be shut down," Jacobs said. "So, I kind of knew, that's why I tried to come in and play as hard as I could to try to get that last little bit, but we kinda already knew."

Packers coach Matt LaFleur said they were going to rest him for the rest of the night after the first series of the first half.
"He wanted to go back in, but there was no need for it," the coach said. "I actually told him at halftime, 'We're gonna give you another series in the second half, but I wanna get you out.' It being a short week, getting him ready for Minnesota."
Even being limited, Josh Jacobs still had a good game. He finished with 69 rushing yards on 13 carries and a touchdown and added four receptions for 38 yards. The Packers improved to 11-4 on the season with the win and clinched a spot in the NFC playoffs.

It was the first time since Dec. 27, 2009, the Packers had three running backs rush for a touchdown in the same game.
