Xavier McKinney's Green Bay Packers may have been eliminated from playoff contention in the wild-card round on Jan. 12; however, that didn't stop him from trolling a division rival. The Detroit Lions, who are the No. 1 seed in the NFC, were upset at home on Saturday by the Washington Commanders 45-31.

After Detroit's loss, McKinney took to social media and appeared to troll the Lions, insinuating that the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions are different.

"And like I said .. we not the SAME," McKinney tweeted.

While McKinney didn't tag the Lions in his post, it came around the same time as the Lions lost. There is no love lost between the NFC North teams and McKinney isn't one to back down from calling out their foes.

Xavier McKinney attempted to recruit former Packers WR

Could Davante Adams be reunited with his former team, the Green Bay Packers? This week, the New York Jets wide receiver made his weekly appearance on the "Up and Adams" show and was asked by Kay Adams what the Packers need to do to improve.

Adams said the Packers need to get a veteran wide receiver.

“Obviously, it depends on the health of their team coming into the beginning of next season," Adams said. "It’s looking right now like obviously they might need some receiver help in one way or the other just based off what they have available. Maybe a veteran or something in there. I don’t know, we’ll see.”

Adams' statement about the Green Bay Packers adding a veteran WR caught the attention of Xavier McKinney. The Packers safety replied to the clip on X and suggested that Adams should come back.

"Mannnnnnnnnn pull back up ! @tae15adams," McKinney wrote on Tuesday.

Although Adams wasn't likely referring to Green Bay trading to get him back, the financial aspects of a trade for the WR are likely too much. He has two more years remaining in his $140 million contract and the hit to the salary cap is about $38 million.

Heading into the offseason, the Packers only have $51 million in available salary cap space remaining.
