Patrick Mahomes finally opened up about Travis Kelce's potential retirement from the NFL. Kelce, 35, has been playing for the Kansas City Chiefs since 2013. Recently, there have been speculations regarding his possible retirement from the game.

On Sunday, the Chiefs faced the Houston Texans in a divisional playoff and emerged victorious 23-14, qualifying for the AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills. Following the incredible win, Kelce's teammate Mahomes addressed the tight end's retirement rumors and said he had no idea about it.

He spoke about Travis Kelce's extended contract with the Chiefs but did not reveal much about his retirement.

"I have no idea. He hasn't said anything to me if he's thinking that," Patrick Mahomes said (via Marca.com). "I know he signed a two-year extension before the season. It seems like he still loves football. But he also has a great life, as well.

Travis Kelce claims to feel like a "failure" if Chiefs missed AFC title game

The Kansas City Chiefs (16-2) have been phenomenal throughout the 2024 NFL season. They were favorites to win the divisional playoff against the Texans and they secured their spot in the AFC Championship.
