The Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly considering moving up from pick 32 in the NFL Draft.
GM Brett Veach refused to rule that possibility out and thinks there are a lot of options that they could pursue, even if it means moving up. After winning the Super Bowl, the Chiefs pick last in the draft, but several prospects could force their hand.
Veach said via the Kansas City Star:

"Just weighing the options. On one end, I think there are 16 to 18 guys this year that we have as first round grades.

"You factor in some quarterbacks there, and some teams that will go in different directions that are contradictory to what our board has."
There very well could be a lot of trading up and down the draft board this year, and that includes the very active reigning champions who are attempting to go for a threepeat for the first time in NFL history.
Three players Chiefs should target if they're trading up for the 2024 NFL Draft
3) Byron Murphy II

Byron Murphy could go anywhere in the first round, so if he starts to slide, Brett Veach should get on the phone.
He would make an excellent (and cheap) pairing with Chris Jones on the interior and help bolster the defense as they embark on a threepeat attempt.
2) Quinyon Mitchell

There's a vacancy in the Kansas City Chiefs' secondary now after trading L'Jarius Sneed, so taking a cornerback is a wise idea.
Cooper DeJean is a bit of a reach in the first round, but trading up for someone like Quinyon Mitchell in the middle of the first round makes a lot of sense.
1) Brian Thomas Jr.

Brian Thomas Jr. is projected to be a middle of the first-round pick, someone who very well could be traded up for. If the Chiefs are looking to move up in the draft, then they should be looking at a pass-catcher primarily.
The receivers weren't very good last year and now Travis Kelce is seemingly regressing and Rashee Rice is in legal trouble. Go get another dependable weapon for Patrick Mahomes.
