Patrick Mahomes is known for his talent and explosive start to his NFL career. However, the Chiefs quarterback also puts his pants on one leg at a time like everyone else. That said, according to the quarterback's former backup, he also puts the same pair of underwear on one leg at a time as well.
Speaking on the Adam Schefter podcast, Chad Henne revealed that the quarterback has worn the same pair of red underwear at each game for the duration of his career. Here's how he revealed the (gross) tidbit:
"Oh, I mean, you know, baseball background. So all these guys. I mean, he has to have a certain thing each and every day he comes in. How he does his work. His notes are written out a certain way."

He continued, revealing Mahomes' game-day tradition:
"Same pair of underwear, which probably not a lot of people know. On game day, he's been wearing it since I've been a part of it. ... But there are things that I've seen that nobody else has seen. His preparation is unbelievable and how he goes about it."

Well, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. The quarterback has been in one of the final two AFC teams alive every season that he has started since joining the league. After missing most of his rookie season, the quarterback has gone to at least the AFC Championship every year. He's also gone to three Super Bowls and won two of them.
Tom Brady and Joe Burrow have been the only quarterbacks to knock the quarterback out of the playoffs. Brady beat him when the two teams met in the AFC Championship in 2018 and again when he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Super Bowl in 2020.
Joe Burrow beat the Chiefs in the 2021 AFC Championship game, but Mahomes had the most recent laugh by winning the same matchup in 2022. With Brady now retired and Burrow stumbling, will another challenger surface to challenge the quarterback?
