Patrick Mahomes' mom Randi shares heartfelt Taylor Swift throwback picture on singer's 35th birthday

As Travis Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, turned 35 on Dec. 13, Kansas Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ mother, Randi Mahomes, wished the pop icon a happy birthday on Instagram.

Sharing a throwback selfie with the 14-time Grammy winner from last October during the Chiefs vs. Chargers game, Randi wrote:

"Happy birthday to you. Taylor."

Last year, after meeting Taylor Swift at the Oct. 23 Chiefs vs. Chargers game, Randi Mahomes was impressed by the pop star’s down-to-earth behavior with her 13-year-old daughter, Mia, who was also present.

“I love how sweet Taylor was to my girl!” Randi gushed, adding a "Girl Power" hashtag alongside a joint photo of the duo.

Since Taylor started dating Travis, she has become well-acquainted with the Mahomes family. In fact, Patrick Mahomes' wife, Brittany is one of her close friends.

The two women became good friends while supporting each other’s partners during Chiefs games. They even showed off their unique handshake during last season’s Chiefs vs. Chargers game in October.

Their friendship has grown beyond the NFL stadiums, with Taylor and Brittany spending quality time together outside of games, including hangouts in New York.

In an exclusive interview with Page Six, Patrick Mahomes' mother Randi spoke about the blossoming friendship between Brittany Mahomes and Taylor Swift.

“It’s hard at this point to meet people that are true and real and they kind of found each other,” she said of their camaraderie. “They really, I mean, talk all the time and they’re like, really good friends.”

Randi also praised Taylor for increasing the NFL’s exposure after she began attending Chiefs games to support Travis Kelce.

“It’s so exciting! I love it because, you know, I hear all the bad noise about it and I’m like this is bringing fathers together with their daughters like I see that at games,” she said.

Randi added:

“I meet so many little girls at the games with their dads. And it’s like, this is bringing families together when Sundays would be dad’s day to watch football or go to the game and now they are at the airport bringing their little girls or their kids with them.”

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were initially linked in July 2023 when the tight end said he wanted to give Swift a bracelet with his number on it. Swift began attending Chiefs games in September 2023.
